A commercial / brand film for Bellavita Furniture.

Bellavita, a company that sells luxury furniture by such designers as the late Zaha Hadid, approached me to shoot a commercial / brand film that would coincide with the launch of their flagship showroom and furniture gallery in Ho Chi Minh City.

Having worked with the company once before on a film for their 2015 collection, they felt confident giving me creative control of the overall concept. Since the showroom was at the time still being built, I came up with the idea of showing the space evolve from empty to full, as we see it essentially come to life with furniture. The commercial / brand film was ultimately shot and edited over a period of roughly 6 months, from September 2015 to February 2016, owing mostly to the slow pace of construction. The narration is derived from words by the great designer Le Corbusier, whose own designs have been a part of Bellavita’s collection.
